Brittany

Owner & Lead Doula

I'm Brittany, owner & lead doula at The Doula Tree! I founded this agency in 2016 following the birth of my daughter, Charlie, which left me feeling overwhelmed & underprepared. It was here that a realized the transformative impact birth could leave on a woman (good & bad)!

I believe 3 significant factors will impact your birth experience including; good prenatal education, partner preparation & the confidence to birth your baby in your way. So, I make it my mission to tick all 3 of those boxes for you during our time together. I think what makes me unique, is my ability to support births in all different settings, with all different providers and all different plans. But what always stays true, is that I really do care about your birth outcome and how you feel during your experience. What I know for sure, is that birth unfolds the best when we leave it be - which is why I believe strongly in a mother-led, physiological birth whenever possible.

So, if you're looking for someone to guide you into motherhood, truly believe in your birth plan & care for you in the postpartum; I might be your girl.

Special Skills: Brittany is a childbirth educator and facilitates all of our virtual and in-person prenatal classes. She also offer cranial sacral therapy (CST) to our local babies & children.

Cass

Fertility, Birth & Postpartum Doula

I’m a fertility, birth, and postpartum doula who genuinely loves supporting women through all the different stages of motherhood. One of my favourite parts of this work is getting to connect with moms, hear their stories, and watch them grow into their role. I believe every mom deserves to feel supported, heard, and confident in herself. I love being able to walk alongside families during some of their biggest transitions and help make the experience feel a little less overwhelming. Outside of doula work, you’ll usually find me outside with my kids, exploring, gardening, or enjoying time together. And if there’s live music happening, there’s a good chance you’ll find me there too.

Christina

Birth & Postpartum Doula

Hi, I'm Christina! I'm a birth, postpartum doula and birth photographer that serves Oxford County & surrounding areas.

Since becoming a doula, I have come to realize just how important it is that the MOTHERS wellbeing is the foundation of an empowering birth. When the parents feel educated, empowered, and encouraged from pregnancy to postpartum, that is when Mother-Baby truly thrive. I want to make sure you are trusting your body, and feel comfortable following your intuition.

I support home births, hospital births, planned cesarean births & births outside the system. My priority is making sure you are as comfortable as possible, feel safe, and feel confident in your decisions. I also want to make sure that your partner or support person is as involved as possible, and feels confident in the support that they are offering you in your journey to motherhood.

Outside of doula work I love photography, making crystal intention bracelets for friends and family, and being outside barefoot & soaking up the sun whenever possible.

Special Skills:  Christina is also a professional photographer. You can schedule shoots for your pregnancy, birth and postpartum as a separate service. Christina also facilitates some of our in-person prenatal classes in Oxford County.

Alice

Birth & Postpartum Doula

Hi, I'm Alice and I'm a mom of three, dog obsessed, music loving, labour & postpartum doula.

My husband and I moved from Wales, U.K in 2013 and have built a beautiful life here in Oxford County. My love of the birthing world came while creating my own family, as it showed me just how valuable it is to be prepared for birth and have good support around you. Whether you birth in a hospital with an OB or at home with midwives, I want women to take back control of their pregnancies and birth experiences.

When it comes to your postpartum needs - I'm the doula for you! I want to normalize wanting more help, and I've made it my personal mission to remind mothers that their needs matter too! I love making nourishing foods for new moms & their families.

When I'm not snuggling all the babies, you'll find me walking the trails with my four legged friends, in my kitchen baking, cooking and singing, learning how to care for my disabled son, volunteering with the Canadian Blood Services, playing my ukulele and spending time with my favourite people.

Special Skills: Alice cooks & delivers pre-made food for mothers & families. This service can be purchased separately from postpartum care.

Alicia

Birth & Postpartum Doula

Alicia graduated from the Perinatal Support Worker program and now supports pregnant women & families in the Hamilton area. Her goal is leave her clients feeling calm & confident as they navigate pregnancy and birth.

Having used a fertility clinic herself to grow her family, Alicia has a special love for supporting families navigating fertility difficulties.

Prior to this work, Alicia spent most of her career working with special needs children.

Outside of doula work, Alicia can be found outside with her son, enjoying fishing & traveling with her family.

Sarah

Postpartum Doula

Hi, I'm Sarah! My goal as your postpartum doula is to bring you the most nourishing, fulfilling and positive postpartum experience possible.

I have a diploma in Early Childhood Education and have worked in that field for over 15 years. Since having my own child in 2020, I have developed a strong desire to advocate for and be part of the mothers journey in the postpartum time. I truly believe that when the mother is supported first and foremost, then baby will be too!

I am currently completing my Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula Certification and am excited to be able to share knowledge and support in more areas as I complete my studies.

Special Skills: Sarah is a talented musician and singer! She has a special gift with toddlers & older children of all ages.

Alanna

Birth & Postpartum Doula

After having an incredible doula for the birth of my own two kiddos, I realized firsthand the importance of women being supported and empowered through birth and motherhood. It really hit me how important it is to cherish this sacred time and for growing families (especially the mother) to feel truly cared for.

When I'm not out in the wild being a part of your village, I am either spending time with my family or out in my garden with my chickens and dog. I am incredibly lucky to be able to be raising kids alongside many of my good friends, so we're often found on the trails with our strollers or catching up over coffee and playdates.

Together, we grow. I can't wait to meet you!

Special skills: I speak French and love to chat all things cloth diaper and car seat related!

Taylor

Postpartum Doula

My journey supporting mothers began after welcoming my first son in 2021 during the pandemic. That experience reinforced something I had always believed: motherhood was never meant to be done alone.

It truly takes a village, and having the right support can completely change your postpartum experience. My goal is to help normalize asking for help, and to ensure no family feels like they have to figure it all out on their own.

I'm passionate about helping mothers feel supported, nourished, and cared for during those precious (and often overwhelming) early days of postpartum and beyond. I work alongside each family to create a personalized plan, ensuring they receive the support that feels most meaningful to them.

When I'm not caring for families, you'll usually find me hunting for hidden gems at thrift stores, exploring a new café, or off on an adventure with my own family. In fact, we once traded a traditional home for life in a van, travelling with my husband, our dog, and our oldest child. These days, we're happiest barefoot in the sunshine, usually somewhere near the water—a little nod to my East Coast roots, where I was born and raised.
